Wah-HOO-Bah!
Uncle AndrewI just finished making up the mix for an ice cream social we’re attending tomorrow, something put on every year by members of Margaret’s extended family.
Some of you may recall (fondly or fearfully) my chocolate-habanero ice cream from previous years. This time I decided to try something just a hair different: an almond-habanero. It’s pretty tasty, Also rather sprightly. 😯
A couple of socials ago some old biddy came rushing up to our ice cream maker when we opened it up to check the consistency and stuck her finger in the still-runny mix. “Thanks!” she bleated smugly, jamming her finger into her mouth. Then she screamed. That memory is still sufficient to lift my spirits whenever I’m feeling down. 😛

So are you going to make some of your infamous chocolate-habenero ice cream for this year’s 4th fest? Just askin’. Some of us would really like to try it. (And this someone would much rather try chocolate-habenero than almond-habenero; I’ve never liked almond flavor in anything other than actual almonds. But again, that’s just me.) 😉

Hey Susan! Sorry, I don’t think I’m going to be making any more ice cream before the party, But I think you’ll like this stuff: I added flecks of bittersweet chocolate to it at the last minute. And I used real almonds for the almond flavor, not extract.

Hey, no worries! I didn’t think you were going to have ANY ice-cream at the party; nor is there any reason why you should have. You’re throwing a party; all I can be is grateful that you are doing so (and pleased as punch to be invited). Everything else is gravy – and if it happens to be ice-cream type gravy, well spiffy keen.
BTW: did you know that your “leave a reply” comments box extends farther than your web page width by about three words? It makes leaving a comment for you rather more adventuresome, as there are definitely sections of the comment I cannot actually see while typing it. Good thing I trust my typing skills…most of the time. 😉

Hmm. Doesn’t look that way on my Mac in Safari or Firefox, or on two of my PCs in Explorer or Firefox. Know anyone in Microsoft Technical Support? 😀
